Golden State's biggest nemesis in the West, the San Antonio Spurs, were able to defeat LeBron James and Cleveland on Monday. That kept the Spurs within a few games reach of the Warriors, while also knocking the Cavs down from their lead in the East. Golden State vs. Houston matchup
The Warriors come into tonight's game on a hot NBA winning streak, having won their last seven games. On Sunday, they topped the Memphis Grizzles by a final score of 106-94 with Klay Thompson's 31 points leading the way. Thompson shot 12-for-18 from the field including 7-for-11 from three-point range to help extend the win streak to seven.
Houston will hope to end the Warriors' streak, as the Rockets are still one of the top three teams in the West. Led by MVP candidate James Harden who scores 29.4 per game, the Rockets are on a win-streak of their own, having captured their last four victories.
