Every year, one of the most important events in football is National Signing Day. A lot of recruits are choosing whether or not they will attend their favorite school. When making a decision on National Signing Day, there are a lot of variables to consider. The recruiting process can be dirty overall, and many people look for ways to stay clean. There were some winners and some losers on national signing day this year.

Winners

Florida State hauled in one of the best classes in the nation this year. The Florida Gators turned in a bad class, and Florida State took advantage.

Over the years, this is one of the most talented teams in the country. There are a lot of people who are looking forward to what Florida State can do in the coming years. Not only will they continue to dominate the ACC, but many people think they could win the national title.

LSU also turned in a great class for first-year head coach Ed Orgeron. He is known for doing things to get attention, and he is a great recruiter. Whether or not he will have coaching success remains to be seen, but he does have a track record of success in helping clients in a variety of ways.

Losers

Ole Miss has been a recruiting powerhouse under Hugh Freeze. However, this year, the Rebels did a terrible job on the recruiting trail.

It will be interesting to see if this trend continues or if it is just something that happened with all of the NCAA sanctions.. Over time, he has proven to be a quality coach that can bring in the top recruits.

Oregon also did not have one of their better classes this year. Ever since Chip Kelly left, this is a team that is ready to take the next step.

However, after missing a bowl game this year for the first time in many years, many people in Oregon are starting to think out loud that maybe their favorite team is no longer among the national elite. It will be interesting to see if the Oregon Ducks can turn things around with their new head coach Willie Taggert. He is a great coach who has done well.
