The series, “The Good Doctor”, has already lost two of the fans most favorite characters. Melendez's injury has gotten the best of him. He had a severe injury which affected his internal organs so badly. His chance of survival is very low and even if he survives, he would still be as good as dead. Melendez knows this and has finally come to accept his fate. His final moments with Claire was so touching. His fellow surgeons came to share their farewell messages. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, people couldn't hug, touch, kiss or express themselves the way they wished to.
