It's hardly a month since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry. She has now become a part of the royal family and has won over the members. She seems to have created a special bond with the Queen. After Prince Philip announced his retirement from public life, the Queen may have been suffering from loneliness and Meghan has stepped in to give her company.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Meghan made her debut appearance at the famed Ascot horse track to celebrate the beginning of the races. The Queen attends this annual event regularly and this year the Duchess of Sussex was also present to give her company.

The two of them had some one-on-one time after their first solo outing to Cheshire last week. Prince Harry was also at the races and the Duchess was seen chatting with his stepmother Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Hollywood actress Meghan Markle has come a long way

Hollywood actress Meghan Markle is today the Duchess of Sussex. Earlier, before the Ascot trip, she and the Queen had traveled on the Royal Train to Cheshire. That trip provided them with an opportunity to know each other better and the impression that Meghan left speaks volumes for her adaptability.

Express UK reports that in the opinion of the Royal commentator James Brookes, the trip of the Duchess of Sussex with Her Majesty Elizabeth II to Cheshire was an occasion where the Queen appeared to be at ease with her granddaughter-in-law and “genuinely happy to have some company.”

Meghan is gradually getting acquainted with different protocols.

Her husband Prince Harry, and others are always lending her a helping hand to enable her to grasp various formalities. The Royal couple belongs to the new generation and they have their own preferences and ideologies. It is a credit to Meghan that she is gaining acceptance from all those around her.

Meghan Markle wants to prove her mettle

The Royal commentator went on to add that Meghan Markle was certainly nervous but the close interaction with the Queen helped her to relax. The invitation to join the Queen on the journey to Cheshire was seen as a discreet method to make her comfortable in an alien environment. She wanted to see how Meghan handled issues of a royal engagement like the walkabouts, the handshaking, the cheers from the crowds and the small talk with dignitaries.

Incidentally, Kate Middleton was British and knowledgeable about the prevalent royal culture, while Meghan was an American and had to learn through experience. She is a quick learner and has been clearing hurdles with ease.
