The streaming service is known for producing highly-rated original TV programs such as “Stranger Things,” “Black Mirror,” and two documentaries: “Strong Island” and the Academy Award-winningIcarus.” This April, Netflix will bring in a mix of old movies and new content that will surely glue you to your couch.

  1. "Sundogs." This hour and a half film will be released on April 6. This is about a young man deciding to join the US military but he finds another way to aid people while going on a trip with his friend. The cast is composed of Melissa Benoist, Allison Janney, Jennifer Morrison, Ed O’Neil, and Eric Christian Olsen.
  2. "The Boss Baby: Back in Business." This “The Boss Baby” spin-off will be released on April 6. The film will continue the story from the original movie, but without Alec Baldwin.
  3. "Troy: Fall of a City." This film adaptation of the story of the Fall of Troy will be released on April 6. The story is about two lovers whose feelings for each other threaten to bring war and destruction to both Troy and Greece.
  4. "Lost In Space" (Season 1). This new reboot of the TV series “Lost in Space” will premiere in mid-April. The sci-fi series is based on the 1960’s show that follows a group of space colonists who get lost in space after being knocked off course. The cast consists of Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russel, Ignacio Serricchio, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, and Parker Posey.
  5. "Come Sunday." Scheduled for release on April 13, this film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Martin Sheen, Jason Segel, Lakeith Stanfield, and Danny Glover. This film is about a controversial preacher who claims that hell doesn’t exist.
