Just in time for Christmas, Disney released the first trailer of "The Nutcracker and The Four Realms," getting everyone into the holiday spirit. Inspired by the classic tale of the same name by E.T.A Hoffman in 1816, Disney in bringing the legend to life with a live-action treatment, revealing the dark side of the legend.

The official trailer of "The Nutcracker and The Four Realms" gave everyone a glimpse of the official cast - Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman.
Clara, played by Foy, is a young girl looking for the one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box which holds the present day from her late mother. During Clara's family's annual holiday party, her godfather Drosselmeyer, played by Freeman, gave her the gold thread as a present which will lead her to the key.
She ended up finding the magical realms - Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. However, to find the key, Clara must brave the Fourth Realm, the home of Mother Ginger. On her journey, she met the Sugar Plum Fairy, played by Knightley, who helps Clara in her magical adventure. Clara also met a soldier named Philip who braved the Fourth Realm with her to find the coveted key and bring back the peace.

Two filmstars reunite and a special performance by a famous ballerina
"The Nutcracker and The Four Realms" will also feature the famous ballerina Misty Copeland. She will be one of the lead dancers and will have a solo sequence in the movie. Also,13 years after "Pride and Prejudice," stars Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen reunite in this film.
And speaking of joining forces, filmmakers Lasse Hallström, director of "A Dog's Purpose," and Joe Johnston, director of "Captain America: The First Avenger," unite in this film. In case you haven't seen the official trailer yet, you can watch it below.
