Star Trek: Discovery actor, Anthony Rapp, confessed that house of cards actor, Kevin Spacey, made sexual advances on him when he was 14-years-old. Spacey was 26. Immediately following the allegations, Netflix released a statement, explaining that they were "deeply troubled" by Rapp's comments against Spacey, and they confirmed that he was not currently working on set.

Anthony Rapp could no longer stay silent

In October, Rapp revealed in an interview with Buzzfeed that Spacey had made inappropriate sexual advances on him in 1986 during a house party.

As Rapp describes, Spacey, "picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance." Rapp claimed that he was motivated to come forth with his secret after watching Spacey host the Tony Awards; seeing Spacey's acting success grow in the years since the alleged incident has only fueled Rapp's frustration with the situation.

Spacey took to his Twitter account in October, releasing a public response to Rapp's allegations, saying that he does not specifically remember any encounter of the sort with Rapp, but he goes on to explain that if he, "did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology, for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior..."

In the same statement, Spacey decided to reveal that he is homosexual; this decision sparked criticism from the LGBT community, with critics arguing that 'coming out' as should not be associated with sexual misconduct accusations should.

Rapp is not the first to accuse Spacey of sexual misconduct

Since Rapp's confession, several other male actors have come forward with allegations against Spacey. One of the recent accusors is actor Roberto Cavazos. He explains, in Spanish, on his Facebook page, that Spacey had tried to touch him without consent at London's Old Vic Theatre in 2008.

Cavazos goes on to reveal that this type of conduct from Spacey had been so common, it had become a very tasteless joke.

Director, Tony Montana, also has a "Kevin Spacey" story. In an interview with RadarOnline, Montana reveals that Spacey groped him at a bar when the filmmaker was 30-years-old. After grabbing his "entire package", Montana said Spacey then told him, "This designates ownership."

In addition to these allegations, there are also eight other House of Cards employees who say they have either witnessed or have been victims of Spacey's sexual misconduct on set. After shutting down production of HOC, Netflix has confirmed that they will not have the actor return to the show.
