Barely days after she broke a number of records for her single “Look What You Made Me Do," Taylor Swift is already teasing her fans to get ready for another song from her 6th studio album, “Reputation.” A full one-minute preview of the single “Ready for It” was shown during the Florida State vs. Alabama football match broadcast on ESPN.
The preview was used to promote and hype the matchup leading to the start of the game. This is not the first time Taylor’s song was used for the game, as her first single “Look What You Made Me Do” was also employed similarly before.
ABC likewise used the “Ready for It” preview to promote the network’s incoming lineup of shows for the fall season like “Scandal,” “How to Get Away With Murder,” “and “Designated Survivor.”

New song release date
According to Entertainment Weekly, “Ready for It” is the first track listing on Swift’s “Reputation” album and it will start airing in full on iHeartRadio stations on Sunday morning 8 am.
Taylor’s sixth studio album “Reputation” meanwhile is scheduled to be released on November 10 and it is generating a sort of controversy since the date is also the death anniversary of Kanye West’s mother.
The rapper’s fans believe that the schedule is a jab on Kanye and they are planning to hold “Hey Mama” Day on the same date.
“Look" sets new bars
The successful release of “Look What You Made Do” on August 25 made this Taylor Swift song a record breaking machine. Both the single’s lyrics, video, and the live action video released during the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards had set the bar higher in terms of the number of views.
The “Look What You Made Do” lyric video obtained 19 million views in the first 24 hours of its release. This is more than double the figure set by the song “Something Like This” by Chainsmokers and Coldplay.
The single also set a new record in terms of first day streaming on Spotify with an estimated 8 million plays within the first 24 hours of its release.
The previous record of 7 million streams was set by “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran.
When “Look What You Made Do” official video, premiered two days later at the 2017 VMA, it set another 24-hour record in terms of views at 43.2 million. This time, it toppled Adele's old record of 27.7 million views for the song “Hello.”
"Look" projected to reach no. 1
The single is also projected to reach No.1 in Billboard’s Hot 100 (September 16) and hit the highest weekly sales, and possibly the top streaming total, for any song in 2017, according to Billboard.
