When "Stranger Things" Season 2 returns this October, the kids of the Hawkins Middle School A.V. Club may finally reunite with Eleven a year after her disappearance. Based on the trailer alone, Eleven finds a way to get back from the Upside Down to the real world. As the sophomore season takes place a year after the events of last season's finale, it will find Will Byers reunited with his friends Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. Viewers are also looking forward to Eleven's return to the squad, and the arrival of new girl Max, played by Sadie Sink. In a recent interview with People, Finn Wolfhard shared how his character feels about her arrival, and how he feels about Eleven's mysterious disappearance.

Max is the new girl in Hawkins

Sadie Sink, who previously appeared as Suzanne Ballard in NBC's "American Odyssey" is making her way to Hawkins in "Stranger Things" season 2, where her character, Max, will find new friends in Will, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin. Finn Wolfhard told People that she will become part of the squad and that "Dustin and Lucas end up kind of falling in love with her. And she sort of gets into the group, and I’m not really happy with it because I’m kind of envious because they’re in love and I’m not."

Mike is missing Eleven

In the last season finale, viewers saw how Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) ultimately defeated the Demorgorgon and disappeared, leaving a forlorn Mike in her wake.

When "Stranger Things" season 2 premieres, fans are hopeful that Mike and Eleven would find each other again, given that the pair shared a sweet kiss. Mike was even eager to make plans with Eleven, dreaming about life after the Demogorgon was defeated, letting her move in, and asking his mom to prepare waffles for her. He even asked her out to the Snow Ball, the annual school dance, before giving up on explaining what kind of relationship they have and surprising her with a kiss.

Their love story was cut short though, thanks to Eleven's disappearance.

Sophomore season will have the 'same heart'

Despite reports about "Stranger Things" season 2 being darker and scarier than its premiere season, Finn Wolfhard assures fans that it will have "the same heart" as before. One thing is for sure, though, as most if not all the characters will be dealing with the aftermath of the last season.

Will will still be haunted by the Upside Down and a new threat is coming to terrorize the town of Hawkins. Chief Hopper will also have to deal with the repercussions of his heroic acts, and Eleven will struggle to find her way back. "Stranger Things" season 2 premieres on Netflix on October 27.
