Did you miss Robert Langdon and his adventures? The wait is almost over since we'll get to enjoy and explore the world with him again this September. In a press release from June 27, Brown revealed the new book comes out September 26. We are used to getting great stories from Brown and, according to his official website, ''Origin is Dan Brown’s most brilliant and entertaining novel to date.''

Robert Langdon stays the main protagonist

Robert Langdon is the main protagonist in all Brown's novels. This Harvard professor of symbology and religious iconology uses his knowledge to solve great mysteries.

Every book puts him in different environments, situations, threats and challenges him in many ways. Looking for the solution and hiding from the enemy takes him to different cities, places and even continents, all in one book. With him, we get to learn a lot about history, mythology, symbolism and religion. We feel part of the team, crack codes and think of the possible solutions ourselves. But, if you think you have figured out how things will end, you are most possibly wrong. All his novels are such cliffhangers and give us unexpected outcomes. Those who we think are good guys end up disappointing us and vice versa. That's what gives Brown a special place in people's reading choice.

Women are given a say

Women are given space in Brown's books. Robert Langdon always ends up accompanied by an equally intelligent lady who helps him solve the riddles and the two never get involved romantically, or they do, to some extent only. This is what Brown is also commonly praised for, apart from his renowned writing style - giving women an equal role as men in his novels, portraying them as capable as male companions.

Every novel gives us another lady who is there to come up with clever solutions and help Langdon resolve the mystery. In the end, they go their separate ways as friends, giving the promise to reunite.

Exploring our origin

According to the trailer, the novel is based on two basic questions for humankind: 'Where do we come from?' and 'Where are we going?'.

This novel is set in Spain, with different scenes taking place in Madrid, Seville, Bilbao and Barcelona. Dan Brown's official website reveals that the story begins with Langdon arriving at a museum in Bilbao for an event where a major discovery is to be unveiled. Things get complicated and Langdon is all set for another adventure. Once again exploring hidden history, cracking codes and employing religious interpretations are some of the ways he tries to find out the truth and come up with a solution. If you're up for another nail-biter, the book is out soon.

Renowned author

Some of Brown's international bestsellers include The Lost Symbol, Angels and Demons, Deception Point, Digital Fortress, The Da Vinci Code and Inferno.

All these novels explored different questions, taking us to hidden places and unveiling the truth. Some of the books were made into movies, which kept us on the edge of our seats. Most of them feature Tom Hanks portraying Robert Langdon, including the most recent one, Inferno (2016).
