Ben Affleck goes shopping with Lindsay Shookus in New York

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus were keeping it low-key when they spent their Sunday in New York. Earlier in the day, the couple stepped out in casual outfits while they went around an upscale department store for jewelry shopping. The actor sported a blue leather jacket and red inner shirt, while the "Saturday Night Live" producer wore a striped shirt paired with black cardigan and denim shorts.

News, Ben Affleck attended some of his fans and gave them his autographs and posed for photo ops before he and his girlfriend headed back to their hotel. The couple was once again spotted outside a famous eatery in Manhattan where they enjoyed a French-American dinner.

The 45-year-old actor was wearing the same outfit, while the producer channeled a black top matched with a pair of blue skinny jeans and gray sandals. This was not the first time Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus were seen public since they made their relationship official on July 6.

Their first public appearance as a couple came three months after Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck formally filed their divorce petitions two years since they announced their separation.

Earlier reports stated that the "Daredevil" duo coordinated before they submitted their documents without the presence of a lawyer.

Both parties are seeking for joint legal and physical custody of their three children and made no mention of spousal support in the divorce petitions.

The celebrity couple confirmed they were putting an end to their marriage a day after they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in June 2015.

The separation was announced in the wake of Ben Affleck's rumored affair with nanny Christine Ouzounian. Jennifer Garner, however, clarified that the rumor had nothing to do with the split.

She went on to reveal that they had been separated even before the controversy came out.

"We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny," the actress said. "She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes."

Despite the split, the "Pearl Harbor" actors promised to remain a family in order to co-parent their kids. In fact, the estranged couple still goes on their regular family outings and church services with Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
