It would not be wrong to say that Amazon Prime is giving a tough competition to Netflix and HBO Now. Every month, the streaming service releases the list of movies and television series that are available for its viewers.

Luckily, a large number of titles are coming to the streaming service this month, and you can decide for yourself if “Viking Quest,” “Where the Truth Lies,” “The Salesman,” “The Last Tycoon” and “Jeepers Creepers” are worth to watch or not.

‘Viking Quest’

“Viking Quest” is one of the most famous television shows of all time. This fictional series was set during the 10th century, and it followed the exploits of Viking hero, Harold.

Within the “Entourage” universe, “Viking Quest” was presented as a cult science fiction program with echoes of “Xena: Warrior Princess.” Johnny Chase and Vanessa Angel played the leading characters.

‘Where the Truth Lies’

Released in 2005, “Where the Truth Lies” was a British-American film directed by Atom Egoyan. Based on a novel of the same name by Rupert Holmes, the film starred Colin Firth, Alison Lohman, and Kevin Bacon. Most of its scenes were filmed in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Surrey. Not only the film but its soundtrack (Please No Lean on the Bell) is coming to Amazon Prime this month.

‘The Salesman’ – 2016 film

The Verge has reported that “The Salesman” will come to Amazon Prime in the second week of July.

Asghar Farhadi directed this film, and it was about a married couple, Taraneh Alidoosti, and Shahab Hosseini, who performed a famous play on the stage where the wife was assaulted. The film was screened for a prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and it won two Academy Awards. Shirin Aghakashi, Mojtaba Pirzadeh, Sahra Asadollahi, Ehteram Boroumand, and Sam Valipour played the supporting characters.

‘The Last Tycoon’ – television series

The Last Tycoon” was produced in 2016 as part of Amazon Studios' seventh pilot season. The show featured Kelsey Grammer and Matt Bomer, and it was loosely based on a book of the same name by Scott Fitzgerald. Amazon Prime has picked up the pilot to series, and it is set to premiere on July 28, 2017.

Dominique McElligott, Jessica De Gouw, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Koen De Bouw have played the supporting characters.

‘Jeepers Creepers’

According to The Verge, “Jeepers Creepers” will come to Amazon Prime in the second or third week of July. Released in 2001, this horror film was directed and written by Victor Salva. It starred Gina Philips, Eileen Brennan, Justin Long, and Jonathan Breck, and the story was about Long and Philips who were tasked to target a demonic creature in Florida. Rotten Tomatoes reports that 43% of 103 surveyed critics have given “Jeepers Creepers” a positive review: the average rating is 6 out of 10.
