July is a month for blockbuster releases as four new movies are set to release in the coming days. From superhero films, to action and comedy, the month has a lot of exciting titles in store. So if you are tired of summer and want to chill with friends, you should watch “War for the Planet of the Apes,” “Dunkirk,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Atomic Blonde.”

‘War for the Planet of the Apes’

In “War for the Planet of the Apes,” Caesar initiates a war against a Colonel that is going to determine the fate of the world. This science fiction film was directed and co-produced by Matt Reeves and written by Mark Bomback.

It is a sequel to the 2014 film “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” and the cast includes Andy Serkis, Steve Zahn, Karin Konoval, Woody Harrelson, Amirah Miller, Terry Notary and Judy Greer. The film is set to release on July 14, 2017, courtesy of 20th Century Fox.

'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

Spider-Man: Homecoming” is more than a reboot of "Spider-Man" – this movie brings together Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover and Tyne Daly. It is great to see Michael Keaton back on his superhero grind, this time as a villain. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is a joint project between Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures, and it swings into theaters on July 7, 2017. Directed by Jon Watts, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is the sixteenth film of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

‘Atomic Blonde’

Atomic Blonde” has a lot of romantic and action scenes. Directed by David Leitch and written by Kurt Johnstad, the film is based on a novel of the same name by Antony Johnston. “Atomic Blonde” revolves around a spy who is tasked to find a list of agents who are being smuggled into the West. The cast includes Charlize Theron, Sofia Boutella, James McAvoy, Toby Jones, John Goodman, Eddie Marsan, and Til Schweiger.

It is Leitch's second solo credit as a director, following “John Wick.” “Atomic Blonde” had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 12, 2017. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 28, 2017.

'Dunkirk.'

The posters and clips for “Dunkirk” have been around for months, so it is easy to think that the movie came out months ago.

Instead, Christopher Nolan fans will get to see what happens when civilians enter the naval combat zone of World War II as enemies surround allied forces. The cast includes Fionn Whitehead, Jack Lowden, Aneurin Barnard, Tom Glynn-Carney, Harry Styles, James Arcy, Kenneth Branagh, Barry Keoghan, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance. “Dunkirk” will hit theaters on July 21, 2017.
