Tarek El Moussa filed for divorce from his wife and co-host of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop,” Christina El Moussa. The incident publicized as the reason for their divorce was when he carried a gun and went out of their home. His wife called the police thinking that he would hurt himself. Later it was found out that he simply went out to the woods to hunt.
Tarek opened up about separation
The father of two revealed during his appearance on “The Doctors” that various reasons caused the demise of their marriage. He said that many things came one after the other like their TV project, their business, and his health and those things pushed them away from each other.
Doubts of Christina’s fidelity surfaced as she was rumored to be cheating on her husband with pool contractor Gary Anderson. Tarek was verbally abusive towards his wife and had to address his alcoholism inside a rehab facility according to In Touch.
'Flip or Flop' redeemed couple's failed business
Tarek filed for divorce in January but the couple vowed to continue working for their top-rated show. “Flip or Flop” is a show that was born out of losses and failures. When the real estate market crashed in the 2000s and their business went down. the couple started “flipping” houses. They would acquire depreciated real estate properties and Christina would re-design them while Tarek did the construction by commissioning contractors to do the renovation.
The couple succeeded in their scheme until they got the contract with HGTV to appear in “Flip or Flop” according to the Inquisitr.
While the show was doing well, Tarek and Christina’s marriage went to the opposite direction. Now the couple is co-parenting their two kids Taylor and Brayden. Not long after their separation, Christina reconnected with the Orange County businessman that she used to date years before she married Tarek.
Doug Spedding and the reality actress have been spotted together in public.
When Christina celebrated her 34th birthday, they were seen waiting for their ride in front of the high-end Hotel Montage in Beverly Hills. Recently, Christina El Moussa was reportedly being considered by Bravo to join “Real Housewives of Orange County.” She was apparently on top of the network's list of possible addition to the show's cast.
It seems that Lady Luck is smiling sweetly on Christina El Moussa. Aside from having a new beau and a new show (if negotiations push through), the real estate investor is at peace when it comes to her children’s welfare. Tarek El Moussa is doing his part in taking care of their children.
