The Indian actress Priyanka Chopra who conquered Hollywood with her charm and acting talent is producing a Bollywood-themed sitcom in Hollywood. The actress-producer has been scouting for possible stories to produce and when she came to Madhuri Dixit’s story she was impressed.

Priyanka Chopra was inspired by the story of a former Bollywood star

Dixit was a Bollywood star who after her marriage settled in the U.S. with her bi-cultural family. She was able to brighten the dull suburb with her colorful lifestyle. She is a dancer-actress and has appeared in various films in the 1980s.

She left Denver to go back to India in 2011.

The “Quantico” star revealed that she is currently developing the pilot and geared towards intense work for the sitcom while working for her shows season 3. Sri Rao wrote the script about the Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit. He presented it to the 35-year-old actress and she approved to work alongside Rao.

The Miss World 2000 winner revealed that it is an unknown territory for her but she took it as another challenge in her journey as an actress-producer says Mumbai Mirror. She is currently filming for Todd Strauss's “Isn't It Romantic” with Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, and Liam Hemsworth in New York. Her second Hollywood film titled “A Kid Like Jake” by Silas Howard has just wrapped up.

It is about a transgender starring “The Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons and Claire Danes. Her role was that of a single mother.

The still untitled sitcom will start shooting next month. Madhuri and her husband Sriram Nene will be executive producers. “Quantico” and “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Mark Gordon Company is also one of the executive producers.

She has appeared in various Bollywood films before she came to Hollywood
