Jennifer Garner appeared to be fine with how things are going for her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, who recently stepped out with his newest girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, for a dinner date in Los Angeles. After the news broke out, a source affiliated with the "Alias" alum claimed the actress is "okay" with her former lover's newfound romance in the "Saturday Night Live" producer.

In fact, the mother of three was all smiles during her first public appearance a few days after Affleck's relationship with Shookus was made public. According to ET Online, Garner attended a fitness class when she was photographed in West Hollywood over the weekend.

“Jen knew about the new relationship and still chose to go on vacation with Ben for the 4th of July. She is okay with it," an insider told US Magazine. The source also clarified that Affleck and Shookus are still in the early stages of their romance, contrary to rumors claiming that the two had been together even before they separated with their spouses.

Who's the new woman?

Shookus was previously married to her "Saturday Night Live" co-producer Kevin Miller. They were together for about four years before they filed to divorce shortly after their daughter was born in 2013. Shookus started working as a producer's assistant in 2002. Her first "SNL" episode was hosted by Affleck's close friend Matt Damon.

Her contribution in the NBC series earned her an Emmy award and has placed her on Billboard's 50 Most Powerful Music Executives in 2015 and 2016. Reports claimed Shookus and Affleck have known each other "a couple of years" after meeting each other on "SNL" set.

The "Argo" star is a five-time host of the long-running NBC show.

Their dinner date at Giorgio Baldi was their first public appearance together. Despite seemingly confirming their relationship, neither of the two has given their words on the issue.

Inside Ben and Lindsay's relationship

The "SNL" producer reportedly stayed at Affleck's flat after their dinner date. The next day, Shookus was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport for an early morning flight.

Several sources said the two are happy with how things are going in their relationship.

In fact, Shookus was reportedly with Affleck when he was filming the remainders of "Justice League" in London last week. Earlier reports claim the couple stepped out to watch "Ferryman," a play by Sam Mendes, during their recent overseas trip.
