Jamie Dornan is on top of the world right now but the "Fifty Shades Freed” star fears that he may encounter a crazy fan that will do the unthinkable. The 35-year-old Irish actor knew that being cast as the lead in "Fifty Shades" would impact his career, but instead of taking it as something positive, Dornan is more focused on the possibility of a negative outcome.
As a result of this concern, Jamie Dornan was not initially excited about portraying the hunky billionaire Christian Grey because a crazed fan might want to harm him.
“I almost don’t want to put this out there into the ether, but I fear I’ll get murdered, like John Lennon, by one of those mad fans at the premiere,” Dornan said, according to Inquisitr.
The “Fifty Shades” actor then added that he’s a father and a husband, so he’s not ready for his life to be cut short.
Jamie Dornan is afraid that ‘Fifty Shades' will cause his death
Jamie Dornan was referring to the shocking death of The Beatles’ legend, John Lennon. The famous English singer-songwriter was shot in the back four times by an obsessed fan, Mark David Chapman. And this is the outcome that the “Fifty Shades Darker” actor is scared of.
It’s no secret that there are a lot of crazy fans out there and playing a BDSM-loving character will definitely attract some creepy supporters. With the concept of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's movie, the actor's fear may be a little too much for some people but it definitely made a lot of sense.
On top of that, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's team-up was very well-received by the viewers to the point that fans started to ship the "Fifty Shades" co-stars despite the actor's four-year marriage to Amelia Warner. So that means Jamie was not only dealing with his fear of being murdered by a fan but he was trying to shake off romance rumors with his leading lady at the same time.

Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan may add more reasons for some fans to get a little crazier as he previously hinted that he might show more of himself in “Fifty Shades Freed.” The husband of Amelia Warner teased everyone to just “wait and see” when asked about showing his manhood in the upcoming installment.
Before things got out of hand, producers quickly slammed the whispers and speculations that Jamie Dornan will be showcasing his private part in “Fifty Shades Freed,” suggesting this will not happen.
