Ultimate KPop boy band sensation BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, appears to have a new name. The seven-member South Korean band’s name is literally translated into English as Bulletproof Boy Scouts. Earlier today, fans noticed that the famous boy band changed its logo. This also means that they have changed their brand identity to another English name Beyond The Scene. Now, fans are reactinf to the band’s decision to change the name.

Fans’ reactions to the band’s name change

BTS boy band debuted in June 2013 with their debut album "2 Cool 4 Skool," earning them different artist awards such as the Golden Disc Awards as well as the Seoul Music Awards in 2014.

The band members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V and Jungkook continue to gain an international fanbase in Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and North America.

All fans are now called Bulletproof Boy Scouts. Most of them wonder why the band's name changed so suddenly. However, one fan believes that everyone should get past it and join the band’s decision to change its brand.

"I understand that it's hard to move on from the old bulletproof vest logo and bulletproof Boy Scouts name but BTS is asking us mature w them because they are becoming/ are already men (whether you like it or not),” reads the Twitter post of one fan @tomma_elena.

Other fans also agreed with her tweet, saying that the band’s new brand is a “better less boyish name.” Others say that whatever makes the boys happy makes them happy too.

International recognition

BTS took the world by storm when they debuted in 2013. The boys continued rising to fame when they released their "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" trilogy, "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2' and "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever."

These debuted in Billboard 200, gaining the number one spot on the Billboard World Albums Chart for weeks.

Thus, the band was the first KPop artist to gain the achievement of charting number one in the world chart. In 2016, the band released its second album called Wings and it charted at number 26 on the U.S. Billboard 200, marking the highest chart KPop album of all time.

BTS was formed, and is managed by Big Hit Entertainment.

The band is known for its sold out tours in different parts of the world. In June, Time magazine named the band as one of the "25 Most Influential People On The Internet." Way to go, South Korea!
