Months after his success as a rookie, Lightning (Owen Wilson) is back with another animated movie "cars 3." In this new film, he has evolved as a mature and humble racer who takes advantage of all facilities and becomes one of the most successful racers of the era. Owen is in love with Kerry Washington who is an active member of a sports club. The movie got excellent visual effects and all elements that can make it a blockbuster of the summer.

In light of this, it’s easy to assume that "Cars 3" will break the Box Office Records of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Wonder Woman.”

Film at the box office

The first filmCars” introduced a whole new world of sports. In 2006, this movie brought forward McQueen and did excellent business at the box office. In 2011, Disney joined hands with Pixar for a sequel “Cars 2” – the film received positive comments from critics and audiences and earned around $600 million during its theoretical run.

The third installment in the film series, "Cars 3," is scheduled to be released on June 16, 2017. It is expected that the animated movie will break the records of “Wonder Woman,” which is currently the top-earning summer movie and has made $300 million at the global box office.

From the teaser trailers and posters, it is easy to assume that "Cars 3" will set new records at the box office.

The film offers course-corrections for the series, shifting the spotlight back onto McQueen and other cast members. The main cast members are Owen Wilson, Armie Hammer, Cristela Alonzo, Bonnie Hunt, Chris Cooper, Tony Shalhoub, Kerry Washington, Nathan Fillion, Lewis Hamilton, Paul Dooley, and Bob Costas. You will see Paul Dooley, Jenifer Lewis, John Ratzenberger, Katherine Helmond and Ray Magliozzi playing the supporting characters.

Regarding craftsmanship, the film promises to deliver quality animations as Pixar has served as a leading visual effect company. Directed by Brian Fee, "Cars 3" sheds light on the lifestyle of athletes and the problems they face throughout their lives.

What do the critics say?

Mashable reviewers say that "Cars 3" will be a major blockbuster of the year as the film has an excellent storyline and impressive visuals.

Owen Glieberman from Variety says that the new sequel seems to have lots of twists. Leah Greenblatt from Entertainment Weekly has praised the script and action sequences of the film.

This week, “Wonder Woman” tops the list of top-earning movies. So far, it has grossed over $302 million at the global box office. Early projections for "Cars 3" reveal that this film will gross at least $56 million in its opening weekend.
