Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Taylor Swift has been living under the radar following her multi-million selling "1989" tour, but her name is still in the headlines. Katy Perry, who recently released a new record "Witness," has dragged Swift's name in the press to talk about their so-called feud, while Swift hit back by returning her entire musical catalog on streaming services on the day "Witness" was released.

Now, another one of Swift's former friends is speaking out about his relationship with her, in the form of DJ Calvin Harris.

Harris and Swift dated for a little over a year, in a relationship that ended in 2016. Many fans were shocked, as they seemed to be the perfect pair, with picture-perfect Instagram posts.

Drama ensued, however, when it was revealed that Swift was a co-writer in Harris' track with Rihanna, "This is What You Came For," which was released in April last year. At the time, Swift was using the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg to hide the fact that she had writing credits on Harris' song.

Harris 'regrets' Twitter tirade post-breakup

A year after the breakup, Calvin Harris is finally speaking out on that Twitter that followed his split with Taylor Swift. As per PEOPLE, the 33-year old DJ and music producer told British GQ magazine that "It was completely the wrong instinct.

I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled.

It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped." Harris also admitted that the breakup was more publicized than the relationship itself, and it definitely put the pressure on him. He mistakenly took to Twitter to let his feelings be very publicly known but admits now that it had all been a terrible mistake.

Scottish DJ speaks out about the relationship

Taylor Swift is now rumored to be dating British actor Joe Alwyn following her fling with Tom Hiddleston. Calvin Harris has kept a low dating profile, though, as he seems to have learned from his mistakes of dating someone very famous. Harris admitted that "For [Taylor and I], it was the wrong situation.

It clearly wasn’t right, so it ended."

'Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1' released

All this Taylor Swift-Calvin Harris publicity seems very timely, as Harris just released his "Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1" record. In it, he collaborated with several familiar artists, including Migos, Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams, Future, Travis Scott, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and Swift's so-called rival, Katy Perry. Check out his collaboration with Perry below, titled "Feels."
