During the latest episode of "Counting On" last Monday night, fans were surprised to see Josh Duggar's wife Anna getting a major amount of airtime. Since Josh's child molestation scandal broke out two years ago, Anna's role in the family's reality show has been limited. Josh, on the other hand, has been completely taken out of the viewers' sight.

Josh and Anna's emergency scare

Anna's re-emergence might be a way for TLC to test the waters if fans are ready to see the shamed couple once again. In the June 19 episode, Jill and Jessa Duggar invite their sister-in-law for a shopping trip.

The three Duggar women take their six children along, but this ends up in disaster.

Four-year-old Marcus, Josh and Anna's third child, wander off while Anna is looking at children's clothes. Marcus falls and hits his head. Upon seeing blood oozing from the boy's forehead, Anna declares it as an emergency and speeds off to the hospital with Jill.

Jessa is left at the consignment store to finish their purchases and take the other kids home. Both sisters praise Anna for acting with so much grace under pressure.

“I can definitely see this happening to me one day,” Jill says in a confessional. “I just hope I can respond with as much grace…as Anna did.”

Where is Josh Duggar?

Recently, the Duggar Family has been hinting a possible Josh Duggar comeback.

In March, Josh and Anna announced through the Duggar Family website that they were working towards fixing their marriage and were, in fact, pregnant with baby number five.

Early this month, Jim Bob and Michelle posted a picture of Josh and Anna on Facebook, celebrating Marcus' birthday party. In the photo, Josh is seen smiling next to Anna while she carries the birthday boy.

Meanwhile, Josh was missing-in-action from his younger sister Joy-Anna's wedding to Austin Forsyth last May 26. Anna was included in a few family photos, but the Duggars made sure not to post any pictures containing Josh. In the wedding special aired during the "Counting On" Season 3 premiere last June 12, Josh was also edited out from the scenes.

It has been reported that Josh Duggar is currently having a financial crisis. His gig as a car salesman is allegedly not going well, so he may be looking for a more lucrative way to provide for his growing family.

He has recently joined the lawsuit filed by Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna against Arkansas and In Touch magazine for releasing and publishing sensitive information regarding his molestation case in 2015. In his motion to intervene, Josh was seeking financial damages for the emotional abuse he allegedly received at the time. After receiving major backlash from fans, Josh withdrew his motion.
