You know summer is coming when the folks at "Today" begin their Citi Concert Series. The shows take place live at the Today Plaza outside of Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan. So far, OneRepublic, New Kids on the Block and Harry Styles have all performed, and it's not even officially summer yet.
Coming in May and June
Zac Brown Band took the stage on the morning of May 16. The country group has been going strong for many years now, and the band just kicked off their latest tour with two sold-out shows in Atlanta, GA. Next up, Zac Brown Band will head back out on the road for their "Welcome Home" tour.
Mary J. Blige, who just recently announced her own upcoming summer tour, will perform on May 19. Her tour doesn't kick-off until July and will take her through Europe first and then the United States. Another woman who will bring her solo act to the "Today" show will be Miley Cyrus. Cyrus is scheduled to perform on Friday, May 26.
Former One Direction band member Niall Horan will sing on May 29. The 23-year-old has found quite a bit of success on his own since One Direction began their hiatus. Horan just released a new single titled "Slow Hands."
The first musician to take the stage in June is country singer Thomas Rhett. On June 2, Rhett will perform live at the Today plaza. He's a busy man in more ways than one.
Rhett and his wife just adopted a baby girl from Uganda and are also expecting another child this summer.
On June 9, Halsey will be in Manhattan to sing for the Citi Concert Series. Her new album, "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom" will come out one week earlier on June 2. She has released two songs from her upcoming sophomore album, "Now or Never" and "Eyes Closed."
Country goddess Shania Twain will sing on June 16.
The Grammy award-winning musician has an impressive resume and always puts on an incredible show. On June 30, Charlie Puth will join "Today" for a morning performance. Puth became well known in 2015 after his song "See You Again" came out. Since that time, he released one studio album, titled "Nine Track Mind."
