Katy Perry and Taylor Swift used to be good friends, but it’s no secret that the duo are not exactly the best of pals anymore. Although their feud has been dragged out for a long time -- even longer than most expected -- the “Chained to the Rhythm” singer and Joe Alwyn’s girlfriend have been tight-lipped regarding what really happened. Now, Orlando Bloom’s former lady love has finally addressed the issue and wants it to end.

Katy Perry was a guest star on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden earlier this week and the 32-year-old singer and songwriter was shockingly candid when it came to spilling the details about her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift.

The ex-friends have been avoiding the topic for quite a long time, but it seems like the “Teenage Dream” hitmaker is now ready to open up and talk about it -- and just be done with it.

“Honestly, it’s really like, she started it and it’s time for her to finish it,” Katy Perry told James Corden during her segment of Carpool Karaoke. “And I tried to talk to [Taylor] about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.”

'Teenage Dream' singer opens up about major beef with Taylor

The “Last Friday Night” singer then told the comedian that she tried to reach out to Taylor Swift but Harry Styles' former fling totally shut everything down. The multiple Grammy Award-winner then suddenly wrote a song about Katy Perry and their major beef, Katy commented: “I’m like, ‘Okay, cool.

Cool. That’s how you want to deal with it? Karma.'"

There was a lot of speculation about how their feud really started. Katy Perry finally confirmed everyone’s suspicions that it was indeed related to the issue of backup dancers. The 27-year-old singer and songwriter eventually fired her dancers, and by 2014, she released “Bad Blood.” As expected, the song became a massive hit and many were convinced that it was about her strained friendship with Katy Perry.

Katy Perry revealed that she's ready to make peace with Taylor Swift

When James Corden asked Orlando Bloom’s ex-girlfriend if she would answer Taylor Swift’s call on FaceTime, Katy Perry responded “Absolutely!” with no hesitation. "By the way, I am ready because I think when women unite, the world is going to heal."

Now that she has finally cleared the air and even revealed that she’s ready to make amends with her number one nemesis, people are now waiting for Taylor Swift’s reply, and whether or not she is also open to giving their friendship another try.
