Jeff Goldblum has teased the return of Ian Malcolm in the forthcoming “Jurassic World” sequel which is currently in production.
Goldblum recently announced that he would reprise his role as the mathematician in “Jurassic World 2.” Though there is no information about the plot, the film is scheduled for 2018. The actor says that his character in the new movie will remind fans of everything about Dr. Ian Malcolm, a character that was first introduced in Steven Spielberg classic of the same name.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jeff said that he would regularly upload new movie posters and trailers to social media to attract more and more fans.
Previously, we saw the selfish chaotician in 1997 blockbuster, “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.” This time, Dr. Ian Malcolm will come up with a lot more surprises.

Goldblum adds that the sequel will continue to explore a theme park with lots of dinosaurs. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return as Owen and Claire from the previous film. Toby Jones, Ted Levine, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, and Daniella Pineda are new to the cast.
In the same interview, Jeff spoke about his initial conversations with the filmmaker and teased that the upcoming movie will introduce a whole new world of dinosaurs. He is already famous for his works in “Independence Day,” “The Big Chill,” “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” “Into the Night,” “The Fly,” “The Tall Guy,” “Powder,” “Deep Cover,” “The Prince of Egypt,” “Cats and Dogs,” “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou,” “Igby Goes Down,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” and “Le Week-End.”
The actor also appeared as Grandmaster in the MCU blockbuster, “Thor: Ragnarok,” and starred in two seasons of the television show, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”
The forthcoming film
“Jurassic World 2” is one of the most anticipated Hollywood films.
It is a sequel to 2015 movie of the same name, and a new film in the “Jurassic World” series. Directed by Colin Trevorrow and produced by Derek Connolly, “Jurassic World 2” is scheduled for June 7, 2018.
The story and dialogues are written by J. A. Bayona, Belen Atienza, and Patrick Crowley. In summer 2015, producer Frank Marshall opened up about his meeting with Universal Studios and Trevorrow, saying that a sequel would soon be developed.
For this project, the studio has hired the best technicians and cinematographers. Even a series of plastic dinosaurs have been created, which will be used during the production. The film is projected to gross up to $700 million at the global box office.
