There's a little over a year before "Ant-Man and the Wasp" hits theaters and now production is coming together and bringing back the stars from the 2015 hit Marvel movie to reprise their roles. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas are all returning as Scott Lang, Hope Van Dyne, and Dr. Hank Pym, respectively. The sequel also sees the return of Michael Peña as Luis and David Dastmalchian as Kurt, two of the three Scott Lang sidekicks introduced in the first film. The third, of course, is rapper T.I., who played the role of Dave. Fans of the rapper and the film will be glad to know that Dave is confirmed to be part of the sequel.

T.I. says acting was a 'natural progression' for him

Born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., T.I. is best known as the rapper behind the hits "Dead and Gone" with Justin Timberlake, "No Mediocre" with Iggy Azalea, and "Never Scared" with Bone Crusher. He's also behind the tracks "Bring Em Out" (2004), "Whatever You Like" (2008), and "Live Your Life" with Rihanna (2008). He broke into the acting scene in 2006, when he starred in "ATL," which was followed by "American Gangster" in 2007. He also starred in "Takers" in 2010, and "Identity Thief" and "Get Hard" in 2015. T.I. told Comic Book, "I always saw the natural progression for me to be doing more acting. It was just I never could find the time because of how much business and opportunity was there in music."

T.I. cast as Dave in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'

T.I.

admitted that his role in 2015's "Ant-Man" was "an awesome opportunity." He explained that at first, he thought that the big-budget film would be "very tense and rigid," but being around comedian Paul Rudd and other Hollywood A-listers created a fun environment that he enjoyed working in. His initial assumption that there would be people who were "difficult to deal with," and it came as a surprise when he found the experience to be utterly enjoyable.

He explained, "It really felt more boutique, independent, kind of. It was just a strong sense of comradery on set and I really appreciate that."

Evangeline Lilly is excited to suit up

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is also set to showcase Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne in a larger role, given that her name is on the title of the sequel.

She recently took to Twitter to share that she already did her costume fitting last week and even hinted at what she would look like in the suit. Check out her tweet below. "Ant-man and the Wasp" will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
