Elementary,” “Terra Nova” and "2 Broke Girls" are among the TV Shows that have been canceled this summer. During the month of April, the networks introduce their summer schedules and make fateful decisions about their upcoming programs. Several series have been canceled this season, giving space to brand-new shows.

‘Elementary.'

CBS Director Henry John claims that the new season of “Elementary” has been canceled. This Western drama is about a high school student, sherlock holmes, who relocates to Manhattan. Here he meets his wealthy father who forces him to live with Dr.

Joan Watson.

During his stay there, the student develops an interest in medicines. He quits his current job and seeks admission at a medical college. He is informed that the degree involves lots of practice and won’t be easy to continue with. The series is created by Robert Doherty and stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes. Lucy Liu plays Dr. Joan Watson in this program. It was first premiered in September 2012 and received negative responses from the critics. The network has canceled the new season due to its poor ratings.

‘Terra Nova’

Fans of “Terra Nova” will be slightly unhappy because the new season of the show won't go live. It was first aired on September 26, 2011. The story revolves around a family whose member suffer from an infectious disease.

The series is based on an idea by British writer Kelly Marcel and developed by Steven Spielberg.

On March 5, 2017, Fox made an announcement that it will not buy the new episodes of the show due to its poor ratings. Shortly after the airing of its first season in December 2011, Fox Broadcasting stated that they wouldn't make any decision regarding the continuation of the program.

They say that they want to give space to new series with better stories.

‘2 Broke Girls’

On April 15, 2017, it was announced that TBS had secured the cable syndication rights to the show. “Two Broke Girls” was first aired in September 2015, on CBS. Now the network has shown no interest in buying new episodes. It is currently negotiating with Warner Bros.

Home Entertainment before announcing the final decision. On the other hand, Blu-ray is interesting in acquiring the show rights. The first season received a mixed of responses from the critics and was included in the list of 50 worst shows of 2015. Its story is about a group of girls who fight against extraterrestrial species and try to save the planet. A movie version of the series is expected to hit a theater near you next year.
