Marvel shared several new stills yesterday from the mega-budget film “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

One of the photos shows the Stark in a new outfit. Holland's Spidey got a new suit in “Captain America: Civil War,” but this time, he looks far better and muscular. Another photo shows some new gadgets that we did not see in the previous installments.

The deal between Sony and Marvel Studios

Spider-Man: Homecoming” is one of the most anticipated Hollywood films. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, and a joint project of Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures.

Upon its release on July 7, 2017, the film will be distributed by Sony Pictures all over the world.

It is the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jon Watts has directed the project, while John Francis Daley has penned its story and dialogues.

In March 2015, Sony and Marvel Studios announced that they would share the character rights of Spider-Man. The two studios have plans to integrate the character into the established Marvel Cinematic Universe. The same year, Holland was recruited to play the leading role, while Watts was confirmed to direct the movie.

Filming began in August 2016, in Fayette County, Georgia, and concluded the following November. The cast includes Michael Keaton, Tom Holland, Donald Glover, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Jacob Batalona, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, and Robert Downey.

Marisa Tomei and Tyne Daly play the supporting roles.

The marketing being done

Spider-Man: Homecoming” will be released in 3D, DVD and IMAX 3D. A sequel is also being shot, which is scheduled for July 5, 2019. Five months after the incidents of “Captain America: Civil War,” Peter and Tony try to balance their lives in New York City.

In November 2016, Holland, Watts, Batalona, Revolori, Harrier, and Zendaya showed an exclusive footage of the film. The first teaser trailer was released online in December 2016, followed by a full-length international trailer that created excitement among fans in no time.

About three weeks ago, a brand new teaser trailer debuted and went viral on the Internet. Last year, Rothman stated that Marvel and Sony are developing several new “Spider-Man” films. However, there is no information about the release dates and cast.

Discussions have already begun for a sequel and two spin-offs. According to Holland, Sony and Marvel have slated a sequel for July 2019, and there’s no plan for spin-offs until 2020.

A spokesperson at Sony has stated that the sequel will focus on the college life of Parker.
