Kim Kardashian-West’s fans and followers have waited five long months to hear the star's first-hand account of the harrowing Paris, France robbery in which the reality star was bound with zip ties, threatened at gunpoint, and robbed of almost $11 million in jewelry.

Kardashian West thought hallway noise was sister Kourtney

On a new episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kim, 36, tells her sisters Kourtney, 37, and Khloe, 32, that she first thought the noise in the hallway was Kourtney coming back to the private apartment at the No Address Hotel after a wild night on the town.

"I was calling to them...and there was no answer. And then at that moment when there wasn't an answer my heart started to get really tense, like, you know your stomach just kind of like knots up...I knew something wasn't quite right.” Kardashian West explains in a preview.

The mom of two has kept a low-profile since the robbery, only recently stepping back into the spotlight but mostly sharing family photos of children North and Saint, and old family photos, with fans on Instagram, where she has more than 95 million followers. Thinking back, Kardashian West says she blames over exposure on social media and believes the thieves tracked her movements in the days leading up to the October 2, 2016 robbery.

Social media overexposure to blame

“What I think happened now...is that there was probably a group of guys that were following us the entire trip,” she says on the show. She admits that she shared most of her movements on Snapchat the day of the robbery and even revealed that bodyguard Pascal Duvier had accompanied her sisters and their friends to a local nightclub, signaling to the robbers that she was alone.

Various miscellaneous jewelry items stolen added up to around $7 million, and the 20-carat diamond ring given to her by spouse Kanye West was valued at around $4 million.

Kardashian-West was in Paris for the Balenciaga fashion show and was alone in the exclusive accommodations at the time of the break-in. The details about the armed robbery Kardashian-West shares are harrowing and would certainly have been met with more sympathy were it not for her celebrity status.
