vin diesel is back in a role that he has not reprised for 15 years. In 2002 he acted in the movie "XXX." The movie had daredevil stunts, and though it fetched moderate reviews, the movie was a hit at the box office and earned $270 million. Now, after 15 years, Vin Diesel is back in a sequel. He is also 15 years older, and at 48, one wonders whether he will be able to repeat the death-defying stunts he had executed earlier. His fans can rest assured that he puts in a stupendous performance and goes after the bad guys. In the process, there are death defying stunts.

The only change is that the female lead will be portrayed by a Bollywood actress, the dusky Deepika Padukone. In a way, she is a refreshing change from the usual actors cast in this role.

The film premiere

The film was released on the 14th of January in Mumbai, where it garnered more business than the local films released that week. Vin Diesel was a hit at the premiere, and wore the traditional Indian dress. His chemistry with Deepika was there for all to see, and it was announced that she would star in the next sequel of the film franchise, as well.

In 3D and 4D

The film runs for 110 minutes, and though it does not have much of a storyline, it does have fantastic action scenes. Vin Diesel literally carries the film, dwarfing all the other stars.

The film was shot in 3D and 4D, and this adds to the charm of the film. Vin is back in the role of Xander Cage, which is second only to his role as Dominic Toretto in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise. While most fans first think of Diesel behind a muscle car as Toretto, there are also legions of fans happy to see Diesel back in this role, as well.

Vin Diesel

Vin Diesel is easily one of the top action stars in all of Hollywood. Reportedly, he does all his stunt scenes without a double. Deepika makes a wonderful debut, and one can recollect that some time back Vin said that she would be the next big star of 2017. One will have to wait and see if this prophecy comes true. The film has had a good opening, and hopefully, it will be a hit.
