Blink 182 gains 465,000 impressions over the previous tracking period to finish with an audience of 13.658 million. The Lumineers’ former number one Opheliaholds at number two for a third week, but loses 297,000 impressions from the previous week to finish the week with an audience of 12.230 million.
Blink 182’s airplay gains and the Lumineers’ losses combine to give Bored to Deatha formidable 1.418 million impressions lead over the runner up song at the format.
RHCP's 'Dark Necessities' earns fifth straight No. 1 week
Meanwhile, the Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP) reach five weeks at number one on the Adult Album Alternative (AAA) Airplay Chart, gaining 23,000 impressions over the previous week to finish with an audience of 1.946 million. This is only 87,000 impressions more than this week’s runner up, Head and the Heart’s All We Ever Knew.
While the RHCP’s margin of victory has lessened each of the last three weeks, Dark Necessitiesalso leads a different number two song for the third week in a row, making the next number one on AAA harder to determine. The RHCP also hold onto number one for a fourth straight week on the Active Rock Airplay Chart.
