January 20 marks the historic day of the 2017 Presidential Inauguration. Regardless of what your opinion of our new president is, love him or hate him; today, our new president, President Donald J. Trump, the former reality talk show host of "The Apprentice" turned politician, who has no prior political or military experience took the oath of office, and promised to be the "people's president." He told America that he wants to unite America by bringing back jobs, stop the violence of drug and crime gangs, take a stand against the corrupt establishment that complains and takes no action, and will bring quality education back to America.
Our new President Trump vows to make America his first priority
Trump's inauguration speech was far from traditional and more unconventional, moving and direct as he told the American people, "This is your day, this is your celebration and the United States of America is your country. We have made other countries rich while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon. We have an education system flooded with case but it leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge. Crime, gangs and drugs have stolen too many lives and have robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. The American carnage stops right here and stops right now! From this day forward, it is going to be America First!
and I will fight for you. I will never ever let you down!" We hope he is more action and less talk and follows this example, and that he will faithfully execute the constitution and the office of 45th President of The United States.
America is still divided
Despite all the protests and threats on social media that the unthinkable will happen to the new president, and the violent protests of smashing windows and fires in Washington, D.C.
the inauguration ceremony went off without a hitch followed by the traditional inaugural parade with the new first family down Pennsylvania Avenue complete with extremely tight security on all fronts.
The new First Lady, Melania Trump wore a classy blue suit that has been compared to what Jacqueline Kennedy wore when President Kennedy was inaugurated.
America is still divided over Trump's incoming policies and the repeal of Obamacare. They are very concerned over what will happen next with the new Trump administration. Although I disagreed with his rebellious and sometimes racist remarks during his presidential campaign, we should put it behind us now and pray for our new leader and give him a chance to make this country great again.
