On Wednesday, November 14, the attorney Micheal Avenatti, who represents adult film star, Stormy Daniels, was arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly acting in violence against a woman. The lawyer denied the allegation saying he has never acted in violence against any woman. The LAPD police department arrested Avenatti on Wednesday but did not book him until Thursday morning.
The lawyer was booked for an act of domestic violence. He simply denied the allegation saying he has never hit a woman and can "never hit a woman." After appreciating the police for properly discharging their duty, he said, "I wish to thank the hard working men and woman of the LAPD for their professionalism.
They were only doing their jobs in light of the completely bogus allegations against me." he said.
The forty-seven-year-old lawyer went on to say that he cherishes and respects his two daughters so much, and could never rough-handle any woman. Then he urged the police to go on with their investigation to prove his innocence. Though he posted bail on Wednesday, he was scheduled to appear in court on December, 5.
Mr. Avenatti has been against president Trump since became popular after representing the film star Daniels in her lawsuit against Trump over an illicit affair. She claimed to have been paid $130,000 before the 2016 election to close up the affair she had with the United States President over a decade ago.
The entrepreneur and Legal commentator, says he is a decent man and did not hit his ex-wife. His ex-wife and his estranged wife both spoke in his defense saying they know him as a decent man, who would never be violent towards anybody. His first wife stood up in her ex-husband defense and stated that the lawyer has been a wonderful man, a loving and caring father to his children, who has been good to his family and never would like to hurt anybody.
According to the Los Angeles police department, his bail was set at $50,000. His case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for prosecution.
Avenatti seems to be very concerned about his reputation as a father, a lawyer and a businessman, he also has shown a lot of confidence in law enforcement, believing they would ensure that justice prevails.
Throughout the episode, the attorney maintained his stand that he has never acted in violence against any woman and he strongly believes the police would conduct proper investigations which would prove his innocence.
