Following her iconically moving speech at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Oprah Winfrey fans and supporters took to social media with speculations of a Presidential Campaign development in the works. Though not confirmed by Winfrey, sources say that family and friends have been urging her to consider taking on the 2020 presidential election.

The 63-year-old actress and TV host tycoon won over the hearts of America and later became a house hold name some 40 years back and was given her own television show and network which propelled her to the prime of her career.

On Sunday, Winfrey was awarded with the Cecil B. DeMille award, recognizing her accolades of excellence in the TV and entertainment business.

So what's the fuss about?

A known feminist, Winfrey prides herself in her career which she built herself (without the help of a rich and famous husband or a juicy scandal that launched her into stardom) and has been an advocate for women and their progression. Her speech touched on her upbringing, being raised by a single mother, growing up disenfranchised and how her platform has given her more of a voice. Winfrey scraped the surface of several topics during her nine minutes of glory, but it was her passion in speaking on the damaging system of patriarchal supremacy that resonated with viewers.

In Winfrey's speech she stated,"...we all have lived, too many years in a culture broken by brutally powerful men. For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men, but their time is up." Followed was a standing ovation from both men and women in the audience."

Shortly after this speech aired, a viral uproar began on social media platforms from viewers across the nation and world.

Many took her worlds as a political statement and a subliminal announcement of her possible future in politics. According to the Washington Post, “Winfrey is overwhelmed by the groundswell of support, the absolute avalanche of hashtags and phone calls about running for president," a friend of Winfrey's said.

Rumors and buzz of the beloved TV mogul possibly running President caught the attention of current POTUS.

According to CNN, Trump considers Winfrey a friend and was sure to state that he is cordial but appeared to be a bit threatened by the rumors of her potentially taking his place come the 2020 elections. "Yeah, I'll be Oprah," he told the Cabinet Room. The world waits in suspense for Oprah Winfrey's next moves.
