Danley arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday night from Manila, Philippines. She immediately met with FBI investigators but she is not in custody. Matthew Lombard, her attorney, said that he and his client are currently cooperating with the FBI and Las Vegas police about the investigation.
She described Stephen Paddock as a “kind, caring man” in a statement read by her attorney, Matthew Lombard, on Wednesday. She claimed that she did not see any warning signs that Stephen Paddock was planning the horrible attack and she believed that, sending her to the Philippines, and giving her money, was Paddock's way of breaking up with her. She added in her statement that she loved Paddock and hoped for a quiet future with him.
Motive behind the Las Vegas shooting incident
The motive behind the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States is still unknown to the investigators but the police said it was “obviously premeditated.” The police recovered 47 firearms from the suspect in three different locations.
The firearms were found in the hotel he stayed during the attack and from his two houses in Nevada.
According to The Telegraph, the investigators said on Tuesday that their top priority is to find the motive behind the horrible attack. The investigators are searching for clues in the gunman’s house and the room at Mandalay Bay.
The investigators are also searching for the motive through Stephen Paddock’s girlfriend, who already denied the knowledge about the attack, but is currently cooperating with the investigation.

Marilou Danley, a 62-year-old Australian citizen, is described as a friendly mother and grandmother by her relatives.
She was born in the Philippines on December 12, 1954, but later moved to Gold Coast Westland, Australia in 1980 with her young daughter, Sheila. She married a local and became a citizen in Australia. In 1990, she moved to the United States with her 15-year-old daughter to marry an Arkansas man named Geary Danley, who was a FedEx auditor. They settled in Memphis before retiring to Nevada.
Marilou Danley met Stephen Paddock while she was still married to her ex-husband. They started dating in 2013 and has been living with Paddock in Mesquite, Nevada.
