A recent “Jimmy Kimmel Live” episode showed a segment where random Americans on the street were asked to locate North Korea on the map, and most were clueless.

Most of them pointed at the Middle East on the map, apparently thinking that the Asian country is located on that part. Some pointed over at Canada, Europe and even South America.

Jimmy Kimmel opened the segment saying that North Korea is a big story today, and asked Americans if they know how to locate North Korea on the map.

The television show host sent a team to Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles to give an on-the-spot geography quiz.

The video of the segment is posted on YouTube, and many answers were downright funny.

There were two questions asked. The first was whether they agree on the United States sending military forces should the Asian superpower threatens American security. Many of them was shown on the video saying yes.

The second and final question asked them to locate the Asian country on the map that Kimmel’s crew brought around.

Clueless Americans

One of those asked on Hollywood Boulevard pointed at the Canada area on the map.

“I am horrible at geography,” she said in the video.

Another respondent pointed toward the Northern China and Mongolia part. However, when asked where she was located that moment, she was able to point the Los Angeles area correctly.

There was another person that the crew caught on the street who made two guesses, but was wrong. She pointed at the Arctic, and toward the South American continent.

Nevertheless, around two to three respondents surprisingly pointed toward the same direction. All of them were showed thinking that North Korea is part of the Middle East.

Others pointed at Europe, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

North Korea and the U.S.

The United States and North Korea have been in a standoff recently because of the issues with missile tests, nuclear weapons, political upheavals and more. It even escalated further when President Donald Trump issued statements against the Asian nation.

Trump reportedly warned the leader Kim Jong Un that the country will be met with “fire and fury,” as they continue to threaten America and the world.

After these statements, North Korea reportedly will launch missiles off the coast of Guam soon.

“Let us see what he does. He does something in Guam, it will be an event that no one has seen before,” Trump stated further, according to CNN.

Guam is a territory of the United States.
