On Friday, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would no longer tolerate the actions of the DPRK and would respond decisively. President Trump also met with South Korean President Moon Jae-In in Washington, reported by NBC News.
Donald Trump and his wife Melania welcomed Korean President and his wife for dinner at the White House on Thursday evening. Melania wore a $2,319 stunning blush pink Roland Mouret for the occasion.
Trump said that it was the brutality of the North Korean regime which resulted in the death of American student Otto Warmbier, who had been sentenced to 15 years of hard labor by the North Korean government for stealing the political banner but was released earlier this month.
"The era of strategic patience with the North Korean regime has failed," Trump said. According to him, the nuclear and missile programs of this regime require a resolute response.
Both leaders will counter North Korean provocations
The South Korean President said that he reached an agreement with Trump to resolve the DPRK nuclear issue. According to the South Korean leader, Washington and Seoul will react decisively to the provocations of North Korea. He demanded that the DPRK return to the negotiating table to discuss the de-nuclearization of the Korean peninsula as soon as possible.
Trump also made an appeal to unite the countries to sanctions against the DPRK. The Head of State drew attention to the fact that Washington will always protect itself and its partners.
He added that the U.S. is working closely with South Korea, Japan and other partners around the world on a number of diplomatic, economic, as well as security measures, to protect their allies and U.S. citizens from North Korea.
It was confirmed by the NCS's spokesman that the White House had approved $1 billion arms deal with Taiwan.
U.S. will involve China to force DPRK to abandon missile and nuclear programs
The situation on the Korean peninsula remains very tense. It was reported that Washington is ready to strike a preemptive blow against North Korean military targets if Pyongyang decides to take another nuclear test. DPRK responded that they would carry out a preemptive strike.
Later the United States clarified that they intended to exert diplomatically and with the sanctions pressure on the DPRK, as well as to involve China in actions that would force Pyongyang to abandon its missile and nuclear programs.
