The father-and-son tandem is again in attack mode against the Democrats. On Sunday morning, President Donald Trump tweeted accusing Hillary Clinton of colluding with Democrats to beat Sen. Bernie Sanders in the party’s primary race.

There are two keywords that are stand out in the tweet of the president and the interview with “Sunday Morning Future” on Fox News by son Eric.

One is “collusion” and the other is “crazy” or “nut job.”

Putin collusion

Trump hit Clinton, not so much to defend Sanders whom he described as crazy, but to counter The Washington Post report on Friday. The article traced the collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian President Vladimir Putin to defeat Clinton and help the real estate billionaire win the 2016 election.

He asked if Clinton was allowed to collude with the Democrats. CNN explained that Trump referred to almost 20,000 hacked Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails, released by WikiLeaks in 2016, in which supporters of Sanders complained about the party favoring the former secretary of state.

In referring to the emails, Trump actually digs up the link of the hacked email to his 2016 campaign which The Washington Post article cited.

As a result of the email leaks, Sanders and his supporters asked Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, the chairwoman of the DNC, to quit as chair of the party which she did at the end of the Democratic National Convention.

Trump even used the report on Russian interference to hit his predecessor, President Barack Obama, for his alleged failure not to initiate stronger action against meddling from Moscow in the 2016 election when the former president was allegedly aware of the interference months before.

The son also rises

Eric Trump, whose foundation is under investigation by the New York Attorney General for allegedly funneling money earned from golf charity events to golf courses owned by his father, repeated a favorite buzzword among Republicans these days. Eric just called tom perez, chairman of the DNC and former labor secretary, a “nut job,” The New York Post reported.

It was the same term Trump used on ex-FBI Director James Comey when he refused to follow the president’s order to stop the investigation on former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. On Saturday, after actor Johnny Depp joked about assassinating Trump, White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway also used “nut job” to describe the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star who eventually apologized for the joke.

Eric accused the rival political party of obstructing and not working as proven by the Democrats’ loss in the recent special elections. The younger Trump claims the DNC is half defunct with no money in the bank.
