Gilberto Valle, the former NYPD officer who goes by the grisly nickname “The Cannibal Cop” was recently interviewed for the show “Crime Watch Daily.” While speaking to host Chris Hansen about his dark and nasty past, he basically claimed he, himself, was a victim – of his flesh-eating fetish.
Plans on killing and cooking women by ‘the Cannibal Cop’
As noted by the New York Post, Valle, a Queens resident, was found guilty by a Manhattan Jury back in 2013 of plotting the act of cannibalism. Jurors at that trial were faced with horrific images, downloaded from his computer’s hard drive, including a photo of a naked woman being roasted on a spit.
Valle reportedly visited fetish chatrooms and websites after finishing his night shift, using the pseudonym “Girlmeat Hunter.” However, a judge exonerated Valle, after finding he dealt in fantasies and not the actual

In the recent interview, which will be aired on Tuesday next week, Valle said he was just an ordinary "meat-and-potatoes" type guy, living a typical American life before his flesh-eating fetish was exposed.
He went on to gripe that he will never shake his nickname, “the Cannibal Cop,” and that it will stick with him forever. Valle even claimed that he, himself, was a victim, saying people don’t get to choose the things that arouse them.
Hansen said to Valle during the interview that he had talked about kidnapping women and putting them in a suitcase, which Valle admitted to.
Hansen then asked whether Valle had dreamed of delivering the women for gang rape, to which “the Cannibal Cop” nodded to the affirmative. When asked if he was then planning to kill, cook and eat the women, which Hansen mentioned was not normal. Valle reportedly conceded that it isn’t normal – for a cop. Valle then asked if it would matter if he was an accountant or a plumber, after which Hansen noted, “But you were a cop.”

‘Cannibal Cop’ wants his family back
As reported by the Mail Online, Valle then went on to boast about the fact that he was a good husband, despite the fact he fantasized online about doing dreadful things to her, including throwing her and her friends into a huge oven. Understandably the couple has since split up, and his wife hasn’t spoken to him since the news broke, but they do have a child together.
Valle closed the interview with an impassioned plea to his ex-wife, saying he was “incredibly sorry” for all that happened and that he wishes they had their old life back.
The full interview will air on WPIX-TV on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
