Cincinnati Police called the homicide scene at the Cameo nightclub “large and complicated,” after the shooting occurred at around 1 a.m. Sunday morning. According to Sgt. Eric Franz, one person has died and 14 more were injured following the Shooting incident.

Franz went on to add that they have multiple witnesses they need to interview about the incident and no one has been taken into custody at this time. Franz added that they have a “really large scene,” with victims taken to multiple hospitals, some traveling in ambulances and others using their own cars.

WLWT5 quotes Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate as saying some of the victims did have life-threatening injuries. Reportedly some victims were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, while others were treated at Christ Hospital and Bethesda North Hospital.

At least two shooters involved in Cincinnati nightclub shooting

ABC News quotes Capt. Kimberley Williams as telling reporters there were at least two shooters involved in the incident. Williams went on to say that at present the motive for the shooting is not known. She said she doesn’t know if the shooting incident was related to an argument or issue in the neighborhood saying she doesn’t want to speculate on the incident.

Williams did, however, warn parents to keep an eye on what their young people are doing. According to Williams it was chaos as people tried to flee from the Cameo Nightclub after the shooting.

There were, reportedly, surveillance cameras running in the Cameo Nightclub and WLWT5 said one witness had told them he heard the DJ at the club call for security just ten minutes before the shooting occurred.

There have been issues at the Cameo Nightclub before

As reported by WLWT5, Neudigate did say the nightclub has in the past had several “challenges.” Reportedly anyone over the age of 18 can enter the nightclub. ABC News quotes Cameo’s Facebook page as saying Saturday nights at the club are "grown and sexy night." In the meantime, police investigations into Sunday morning’s shooting incident are ongoing.
