Choking the McChicken
Currently sitting on the top ten list of Twitter trends for the last few hours with 190,000 retweets and counting at the time of this writing, a man has gained internet notoriety for essentially having it his way with a McChicken sandwich from McDonalds. While the puns, memes, outrage, disgust, and comedic gold that this incident is likely to generate is impossible to tell at the moment, a quick search of the term on Twitter will net you a plethora of content.
While the video itself is NSFW, terms like "McChicken video," mcchicken Trending," and "mcchicken twitter" have seen a considerable uptick in Google search trends.
While it's probably not a good idea to do an extensive search to find the video (if you want to remain unscathed and if you want to be able to enjoy the item in the future), there is a 20 second audio clip of the act on YouTube...and it's safe to say that the man in question was loving it (quite literally).

There has been a mixed reaction so far across social media with regard to the incident. There is the tried and true "what has been seen cannot be unseen" approach being used by those that have had the misfortune of seeing the actual clip in full. There are also a great number of reaction videos going around the internet -- everything from comedy to outright anger and disgust.
Ultimately, when parents tell their children not to play with their food, I don't think this is what they have in mind (maybe this unidentified McChicken man just didn't get that memo growing up).
Some have called this good publicity (or bad, depending on how you look at it). However, if you're of the mind that any publicity is good publicity, then you can't really complain with the results, as everyone and their brother is still talking about this (and writers are writing about it).

So, whether it be "McChicken and chill," or what I will refer to as "Dollar Menu date night," the internet is buzzing with this latest trend, and, one way or another, if some of us may never be able to look at a McChicken the same way again, the countless memes, jokes, and reaction videos will certainly be a consolation.
