Everybody loves the weekend, and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festivals adds to the fun with a little expansion. Not only do they have Garden Rocks concerts and educational seminars every Saturday and Sunday, but the seminars run on Fridays, too, and the America Gardens Theatre hosts musical acts Friday through Monday at the Walt Disney World park.
Extended weekend fun
The colorful flowers and artistic topiaries are the festival’s main draw, with the food not far behind, but the concerts are also extremely popular with guests of all ages.
Garden Rocks features performers from every era, starting all the way back in the 1960s and running through today. With four day’s worth of concerts, and three performances on each of those days, you have plenty of opportunities to see your favorite musical acts at Walt Disney World.
Several seating options
The concerts at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival are all included with regular admission, and seating is first come, first served in the outdoor theater. For those who want the comfort of knowing they have a guaranteed seat, there are also extra-cost dining packages. With all the outdoor kitchens ringing the park, and enough activities for a full day of fun, you can have a nice sit-down lunch or dinner and graze on the special offerings for the rest of your day’s dining.

Learn something new at Epcot
The seminars are also part of the extended Walt Disney World weekend, running from Friday through Sunday. The schedule changes throughout the event, so check the official Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival website before you go.
You’ll find the seminars, along with shopping and educational displays, inside the Festival Center near Ellen’s Energy Adventure. If you wonder what they’re like, check out one of the 2016 offerings below.
Even if you can’t visit Epcot Friday through Monday during the event’s run through May 29, you’ll have plenty of fun on the other days of the weekend.
The flowers and topiaries are out throughout the event, and you’ll notice that the colors change as the weather grows warmer. Add the butterfly garden, children’s play areas, and lots of great dining, and you’ll easily fill your day at the park, whether you're a local or enjoying a Walt Disney World vacation.
