Spooky Empire takes over the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando October 7, 8, and 9, with a long weekend of fun geared to horror and rock fans and those who love body art. Tickets are still available for single day admission or a three-day ticket that gets you into the festivities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A single day is $30 for Friday and Sunday or $35 for Saturday with advance purchase or $10 more if you buy your ticket at the door. The combination ticket price is $60 for all three days in advance or $75 at the door.
Spooky Empire admission covers almost everything
Your ticket gets you admission to virtually all of the events at Spooky Empire, which rolls into Orlando just in time for Halloween. There are only a few exceptions, like the charity poker tournament, tattooing, demo classes, and VIP events, which require a VIP package. Some celebrities also charge for autographs and/or photos, although you’re welcome to meet them without making a purchase.
Spooky Empire takes place at the Orange County Convention Center, conveniently located on International Drive in Orlando. The festival will be held in the center’s West Concourse. It opens at 5 p.m. on Friday night and at 11 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Plan to arrive early if you’re driving to ensure that you’ll get a parking spot at the convention center.
Wear your best costume to Spooky Empire
In the spirit of Halloween and and the best convention traditions, you’re welcome to wear costumes to Spooky Empire. Cosplay is encouraged, and those with exceptional costumes might even win a prize.
Whether or not you dress up yourself, you’ll want to bring your camera with you to capture those unforgettable moments you’re sure to encounter at the convention. That will likely include meeting some of the many celebrity guests coming to Orlando for this event, like Weird Al Yankovic and Robert Englund. Some charge for photos, while others will happily pose for free. Be sure to ask first, as some may not be able to take a pictures with fans due to time constraints.
