Well, apparently, some gamers have already answered that question for you, as some people online are selling hacked “Fortnite: Battle Royale” accounts for around $1,000. Epic Games (who is the developer of this game) has even warned gamers online about these new hack attacks that could steal your account away from you. It is worth mentioning that these criminals are focusing on this game because of its popularity and its success, which has made it a prime target for some fast cash.

How do people know that these gaming accounts are being sold for so much money?

Now, the reason why these people know about how much money these criminals are making from the Stolen accounts is because of an investigation that took place by a gaming site called Kotaku. This investigation revealed that a very popular forum that is used to flag very suspicious and dodgy “Fortnite: Battle Royale” accounts is often frequented by as many as 4,000 people at one time. This forum is called Nulled.to, and it brands itself as a “cracking community where you can find tons of great leaks.”

These accounts are sold to the highest bidder, and sometimes these accounts can even go for around $1,000.

Once Epic Games got wind of all these stolen “Fortnite: Battle Royale” accounts they said that “Epic continues to work with our customers who have been impacted by credential stuffing or brute force attacks.” They then were quoted urging players to protect their information, saying: “We encourage players to guard their account information and not to trust third-party websites with their account information.”

Has this video game only been in the press for negative reasons?

Well, as you can see “Fortnite: Battle Royale” has had some negative press surrounding it with not only accounts being stolen but also from parents complaining a lot about it.

For example, an Irish mother appeared on a television talk show not too long ago and had nothing but negative things to say about the action-adventure video game. This mother said that her son has become addicted to this video game and that children should not be allowed to play this game at all. Well, Epic Games has been trying to brush off this negative press by bringing new updates, which include exciting items and a unique, brand new game mode.
