With the first half of November almost here, it is time to reflect and be thankful for all of the games that will be coming out to start next month. The most anticipated release of this month is an annual tradition as the latest game in the Call of Duty series, “Call Of Duty: WWII”, comes out in a matter of days.
'Call of Duty: WWII'
“Call of Duty: WWII” is being developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the 14th game in the popular series and the first one to be set in World War II since 2008's “Call of Duty: World at War.” The game's single-player campaign has players follow the battles of the 1st Infantry Divison on the Western Front.
Multiplayer will expand to feature fronts not seen in the campaign in order to diversify the experience, There are five divisions to choose from and a Headquarters mode, which acts as a multiplayer social hub. The game will also feature the cooperative Nazi Zombies game mode. “Call of Duty: WWII” releases worldwide on October 3rd for Xbox One, PS4 and Microsoft Windows.
'Sonic Forces'
“Sonic Forces” is the latest game in the long-running franchise. It is being developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. The story follows Sonic the Hedgehog as a member of the resistance force fighting against Doctor Eggman and a new villain named Infinite after they have taken over the world.
This game features three different gameplay modes.
Players control a “classic” and “modern” version of Sonic, with one having a 2.5D side-scrolling view and then other using 3D gameplay. The other gameplay mode features the “Avatar”, which is a custom character the player creates. “Sonic Forces” releases on October 7th for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.
'Football Manager 2018'
“Football Manager 2018” is the 14th game in the annual series that is developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. The game is a football (soccer) simulation manager that has players run and control a team. This year's version will see a revamped scouting mode, a new tactics screen, sports scientists playing a larger role and some tweaks to transfers.
The game releases on October 10th for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux.
'Need for Speed Payback'
“Need for Speed Payback” is the 23rd installment in the popular racing franchise. It is being developed by Ghost Games and published by EA. The game will be set in an open world environment, with a 24-hour day/night cycle. The game's offline single player mode will have a heavy focus on “action driving” with the three playable characters working together to pull them off.
Earlier this week, it was revealed by EA and Ghost Games that there would be 74 different cars to use in the game. Cars will also be fully customizable. Multiplayer will also feature improved Speedlists. The game releases worldwide on October 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and Microsoft Windows.
