The thrills and spills of Halloween are in the air and "Dead by Daylight" developer Behaviour Interactive has laid out its plans for the spooky occasion. It hinted to bring the fans of the asymmetrical horror video game a bunch of sweet tricks and treats in time for the celebration.

In the latest weekly stream on Thursday, creative directors Dave Richard and Ash discussed what’s coming next in the game and especially what they have planned for the Halloween. The two also addressed burning questions from the gamers and offered a preview at some stuff they're working on at the studio.

Matthieu Cote at NYCC 2017

Notably, the two took over the show on behalf of game director Mathieu Cote. Currently, Cote is attending the New York Comic Con 2017 that is now open to the public starting Thursday, October 5. He seems to be having some fun with a couple of fans in the tweeted photo below.

Dev hints Halloween content

During the show, Richard and Ash shared that the team is excited about Halloween as it is “their thing.” This hint gives rise to speculations that fans will likely receive some sweet surprises such a new DLC adding a new killer and survivor or even a new map.

A few weeks ago, a leak revealed the plausible addition of The Sandman as the next killer in Chapter 7 in the horror title.

The tipped information also claimed that the new survivor in Chapter 6 is coming following the recent release of Leatherface in the game.

DVS Gaming cited that other possibilities could include a 4x Bloodpoint weekend. It is expected that more specific details will be revealed in few weeks leading to the Halloween week, so fans should stay tuned for that.

New survivor skins preview

Gamers also saw a preview of the new survivor skins that the creative team is currently working on. Apparently, fans have been requesting for the addition of new costumes for the survivors and it seems Behaviour Interactive is indeed listening to the fans’ feedback.

Dave and Ash showed an exclusive look at some images teasing some of the concept art in development for survivors, David King and Feng Min.

Richard even jokingly said that they had to do it while Cote is away at the NYCC 2017.

Other updates

The creative directors also gave an update on the bug that causes loss of progress in the game. They said that the team is still looking into this issue and trying to find a remedy to address it. The creative directors asked players to be patient while they sort it out at the moment.
