Pokemon GO” fans have already started planning for the Halloween event. Expectations are flying high and fans want some spooky Gen 3 critters surprising them during the event. Various sources have confirmed the existence of such an event, which is great news for fans. Halloween celebrations were one of the first in-game events introduced by Niantic in 2016.

Misdreavus may join!

All reports point at an October celebration of the Halloween event. Last year, fans were treated to an increase in Ghost-type Pokemon such as Gengar, Haunter and Ghastly.

The three will soon be joined by Misdreavus, another Gen 2 creature. During the upcoming event, there could also be an increase in spawn rates of Dark Pokemon.

Special Gen 3 Ghost-types arriving?

Gen 3 has already brought in multiple Ghost-type Pokemon and Halloween could be the perfect time to introduce a set of brand new critters. Dataminers have already found evidence of Gen 3 source codes in the game, which means that they are coming soon. The Ghost-types in it include the likes of Dusclops, Duskull, Banette, Mega Banette and Shuppet.

Umbreon, the Dark Pokemon

Apart from the Halloween event, the Raid Boss Battles too have to be dealt with. Umbreon, which is definitely one of the most Dark Pokemon in the game now, could start appearing in more Gyms, reports Slash Gear.

In order to have Umbreon, trainers require Eevee, as the former evolves from it. To evolve, trainers need the buddy walking business and 25 Eevee Candies.

Moreover, Eevee is also a great addition during Halloween because it can turn into various other monsters. It has the most number of evolutions, namely, Espeon, Umbreon, Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon.

Other critters that may be seen more often during Halloween are Houndoom, Houndour, Houndour and Sneasel.

Niantic is, however, keeping quiet and has not released any official information on the Halloween event and what it will bring with it. A lot is happening on the game front and the developer has revealed that fans have no idea what they have in store.

It is not even close to being finished with the game.

Niantic is working on the player vs. player combat feature in addition to trading and Ex Raid Battles that would involve Legendaries such as Mewtwo. Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara recently revealed that the developer will soon introduce “fundamental Pokemon experiences” and that fans have seen only 10 percent of the game until now.
