'Final Fantasy XV' is the latest open world action role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game follows Noctis Lucis Caelum as he makes his way to Eos in search for the finest ingredients to complete his Nissin Cup Noodles quest, yes folks, you heard it right. We all know that the cast of 'FF XV' is crazy over Nissin Cup Noodles, and this time Noctis himself takes this craziness to a whole new level.

Square Enix recently announced another gift for fans and players of 'FF XV,' they are giving away free downloadable content for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.

Devotees of the ridiculously good looking boy band and the iconic ramen snack are in for a special treat as Noctis gets to wear a Cup Noodle Helmet. Not only is this helmet impressively adorned in detail, it also remarkably increases your HP recovery rate.

An unlikely partnership

It's hard to imagine that a science fiction and fantasy media franchise and a brand of instant ramen noodle snack would come together and strike a deal with each other, a partnership between the two big names are unlikely since they are worlds apart in terms of what they do. But because they can, Square Enix allowed Nissin Cup Noodles to invade 'Final Fantasy XV.' A somewhat shameless product placement can be seen in the game during a side quest as Gladiolus starts to talk irrationally about how much he wants the best Cup Noodles in the land.

Hence, the group will undertake a mission to find the ingredients to make the perfect cup. Not only that, but they have also come up with commercials where 'FF XV' characters advertise the original ramen in a cup.

Ludicrous it may seem but it was a strong marketing move, within the first twenty-four hours alone, Square Enix reported that 'Final Fantasy XV' had shipped five million units worldwide in both physical shipments and digital sales.

According to Square Enix, shipments had reached over six million worldwide by January 2017, that's just less than three months. Imagine that many people influenced by 'FF XV' to eat Nissin Cup Noodles. Moreover, eating ramen (instant or not) is deeply rooted in the Japanese culture. Almost everybody in Japan eats the wonderfully PDQ meal.

Headgear

Noctis' headgear is a fully detailed original chicken ramen cup complete with all the nutritional facts and a bar code. This helmet is not only a cosmetic accessory but it provides players with stat altering values so as to increase the HP recovery rate.
