Video games are exciting, but nothing compares to the competitive and addicting nature of sports games in particular. "Madden NFL 18" is set to arrive on August 25 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. EA Sports recently announced the ratings for the top players in the league at every position and most of the ratings for players are what you would expect.

This Madden game is said to be unique and unmatched from any other game before. This time around, the game will yield a new single player mode called Longshot and it will feature Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali.

Super stars ratings revealed

A recent article by GameSpot.com listed the latest news on Madden NFL 18, along with the ratings of the top players in the league at all positions. EA Sports has also posted the ratings on their own website. The article lists that a website named PastaPadre.com calculated the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys as having seven players each rated at 90 or higher. The Patriots follow with 4 players and the Jets are the worst.

Jet fans will be displeased with this years game and team as the highest-rated player is at 85. Additionally, they only have six players over 80. There is hope though because the ratings tend to change over time as the season progresses. Fans of 'gang green' will cling to hope if they plan to still play with their team.

Cover athlete

Tom Brady, the QB that will be featured on the game's cover, has the highest rating of any player at 99. The Super Bowl winner will certainly be fun to use in the game. However, athletes at other positions are close to the star caliber player.

Strong receiver Julio Jones is listed at 98 as the top-rated wide receiver, while Le'Veon Bell tops the running backs at 97. These ratings are pretty fair and accurate considering what the players contributed last season.
