Fresh from release, “Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy” continues to soar high in sales since its official release in June. Just recently, Activision is proud to announce that the remastered game collection has nabbed the no. 1 spot of the top best-selling video games worldwide for the month of June.
Remarkable success
Although “Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy” was launched on the last day of June, it managed to land as the no. 1 video game to have sold the highest number of copies across the globe, according to game publisher Activision.
Apparently, it topples Bandai Namco Entertainment’s release of “Tekken 7” on Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC on June 2.
The game was launched 28 days earlier than N Sane Trilogy.
Top 1 worldwide for June 2017
Based on the NPD Group’s top 10 games for June 2017, the current title of the long running arcade fighting game series is the no. 1 best-selling video game for last month. However, this list only accounted for the sales within the North American region.
Activision’s record, on the other hand, includes the copies sold from other continents such as the UK and Australia, wherein the game has also topped the sales charts.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, is pleased to share this massive success to the fans and said that Activision and Vicarious Visions owe it to them. Hirshberg added that the players' response to the release of the remastered compilation of the three Bandicoot games has been phenomenal.
It still landed as the no. 1 in physical copies sold worldwide in spite of the fact that it was only available in stores for a day in the month of June and they’re thrilled to see that fans love the game so much.
Stormy Ascent a free DLC
As a great way for Activision and Vicarious Vision to celebrate this new milestone and to especially thank the fans for their support, the game will be receiving a free DLC called Stormy Ascent for 30 days.
Activision announced at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) that fans will be able to enjoy playing the Stormy Ascent DLC for the whole month. It’s now available for a free download until Aug. 24, then it will be sold on the PlayStation Network for $2.99.
The news of the big surprise was first teased by the game publisher days prior to the highly celebrated annual event in the US.
Fans and game pundits were betting on an announcement of an Xbox One version but apparently, it is a no for now but maybe, at some point.
"Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy" is currently available as an exclusive remastered video game collection for the PlayStation 4.
