4J Studios quietly released another "Minecraft" update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and last-gen consoles on Tuesday. The new update makes it possible to explore the world of "Adventure Time" in block form as well as wear the skins of favorite "Magic: The Gathering Characters." The open-world game did receive some new items and blocks, however, beyond add-on DLC.
"Minecraft" Update 53 for the Xbox One, and patch 1.50 on the PlayStation 4, and patch 3 for the Nintendo Switch is rolling out to each of the console's respective stores now.
It may take some time to receive it, depending on the region you are located in, but should install automatically when the game is loaded up today or tomorrow.
Adventure Time Mash-Up Pack
The "Adventure Time" mash-up pack ($6) is the obvious choice as a headliner for the latest "Minecraft" update and appears to fit right in. The cartoon world created by Pendleton Ward and aired on Cartoon Network was inspired by role-playing games and video games while poking fun at both more often than not.
Mash-up packs in "Minecraft" completely replace all character skins, block textures, music, and the user interface with those borrowed from or inspired by whatever entertainment property the pack is based on.
Players can craft their own world from the items in the pack or use the "Adventure Time" world created by the developers.

The Glide mini-game has finally been added to the Nintendo Switch as 4J Studios attempts to bring the game up to par on Nintendo's new hybrid console with other platforms.
The flying mini-game in "Minecraft" has proven to be one of the more popular ones added yet. 4J Studios added the new Temple track to the playable list of tracks for free. Additionally, the game will automatically record player's best Glide run, as long as it is less than five minutes. This also adds Ghost mode for players to compare and improve on their performance.
